A Side Table

This is the story of how a simple side table kit led to the small project pictured here.

It all began when I stumbled upon a 'Jacominis' side table kit, which I had bought months ago, and forgotten all about.

I decided to put it together real quick, then finish it in my 'own dilapidated style', with cobwebs on the underside of the table and all.

But then again, I was left with just a table, nice as it is, and nothing else. So, instead of storing it for use in a future project, I thought it would be nice to give it a stage of its own.

I built a floor made out of wooden stirrers, a small wall decorated with wall paper, added a few weathered books, a candle of my own making, and, last but not least, a miniature painting specially done for this mini-project. I put it all together, and well, the rest is history.
The most challenging part turned out to be the photo shoot. It took me two days and many trial and errors to complete, but I think in the end it was worth it!

Thanks for visiting, and be well!

  1. Oh José, such a stunning display with just a few miniatures and plenty of detail; from cobwebs, to aged books, melted candle and lots of weathering. And not to mention the amazing photo shoot to set the perfect athmospher. I just love it!
