Jane of the Attic

Jane lives in the attic, surrounded by forgotten things, like old furniture nobody wants, discarded toys, cobwebs and memories.

Once, she belonged to a little girl who, like little girls usually do, grew up and grew old, and then died of old age.

It is said that the old lady passed away with Jane in her arms, holding her tight to her chest, as in a futile attempt to hold on to Life itself.

And so Jane was left an orphan, ending up abandoned in the silent, dusty attic of the old ladies mansion. Being a doll, that would not be much of a deal, yet there was something special about her: Jane was alive!

Could it be, that the spirit of the old lady somehow managed to get inside the doll, and made it her home..? Was the old ladies' yearning for life so strong, that she found a way to stay and live on, using the doll's body as a vehicle for her soul?

I invite you to take a look at the pictures below, and then ask you the following question: do you think Jane is 'just a doll'...?
